Guildburys Picnic Theatre

Guildburys Picnic Theatre performs annually at Merrist Wood near Guildford and tours every three years to The Minack Theatre in Cornwall. Bring a picnic, enjoy the sunshine and experience theatre under the open sky. Our summer shows are a highlight of the Surrey social calendar.

We have staged a summer show annually open air since 1990, and toured our 2013, 2016, 2019 and 2024 picnic theatre shows to The Minack Theatre in Cornwall where we performed to sell out audiences of more than 700 nightly — that’s in excess of 12,000 people!
