We welcome new members, whether as actors, stage crew or social members. We are one of Surrey’s leading community theatre companies, performing four shows annually at venues including The Nomad Theatre, G Live Guildford, Merrist Wood Open Air Theatre, and The Minack Theatre in Cornwall.
MEMBERSHIP
Becoming a Member is Easy
We welcome new members whether as actors, stage crew or social members. For details of our next auditions and to apply, please visit our auditions page. Anyone can join as an associate member for an annual fee of £10. If you are cast in a show or join a production team, you will be required to become a full company member for an additional subscription of £15.
We perform four shows annually including our summer tour to the Minack Theatre in Cornwall. We hold regular workshops free to members and a members Christmas party. You can view all our events on our calendar.
We do not charge show fees and scripts are included in your membership. Memberships are payable each January but you may join at any time of the year.

ON STAGE
Acting with Guildburys
We hold open auditions for all our shows. Take a look at our archive of past shows to see a gallery of productions with pictures, reviews and details.
All auditions are held individually with the director and at least one other reader together with members of the production team, at a pre-arranged time. We mainly rehearse on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday evenings. Our rehearsals and auditions are held at St Catherine’s Village Hall on the outskirts of Guildford.

We have an outstanding team which includes many high calibre ex-professionals. However, there are a wide range of opportunities for anyone wishing to gain experience or become involved.
As with our actors we aim for high standards but we are happy to train those with little or no experience, but who have bags of enthusiasm. Get in touch and get involved!

THE COMMITTEE
Management
The committee is charged with running the society on behalf of the membership and elections are held annually at the Annual General Meeting. There is a maximum of 9 committee members and once elected, they vote to appoint the office holders:
Chairman — Vice Chairman — Treasurer — Secretary
