Not ONE, but TWO !
We were delighted to learn that both ‘The Government Inspector’, and ‘Blue Stockings’ received NODA awards. Blue Stockings was highly commended and runner up in the South East regional awards for Best Drama.
Both productions were awarded a NODA District Accolade of Play Excellence.
In presenting the awards Pauline Surrey said “I saw many great drama productions last year so competition was tough indeed. Two of your productions stood out however, The Government Inspector and Blue Stockings.
I found it quite impossible to choose one over the other. Quite different types of play of course, but both thought provoking.
My dilemma was solved when I was told that it is possible to award the one Accolade for two productions of equal merit. So relief was great! Both these first class pieces of theatre have thus been recognised! Thank you Guildburys”
Ian Nichols, director of The Government Inspector and Gilly Fick, director of Blue Stockings, were presented with the awards Pauline Surrey, NODA regional representative.
