Guildburys Theatre Company invites you to the Bellerby Studio at G Live from 13–15 May for a masterfully interwoven, time-shifting dramatic comedy.
Experience Ayckbourn at his theatrical best in the wonderfully intimate setting of the Bellerby Studio. Secrets will be bared, skeletons will come out of cupboards and the ordinary normalcy of everyday life will be transformed into something unforgettable.

About the Play
Step into a single south London living room and witness the trials, tribulations, and temptations of three generations of the same family spanning 70 years. Written by the master of chronicling British family life, Alan Ayckbourn’s Family Album beautifully layers three distinct eras simultaneously on a single stage:
- 1952: RAF veteran John and housewife Peggy proudly move into their first home with post-war hope.
- 1992: Their daughter Sandra frantically wrangles a chaotic 10-year-old’s birthday party without her AWOL husband.
- 2022: Granddaughter Alison finally prepares to pack up, escape, and sell the inherited family home.
As the timelines ghost through one another, characters in different eras occupy the same space, completely unaware of each other’s presence. The result is a thought-provoking, funny, and deeply moving production where the decisions of one generation echo, clash, and ripple directly into the next.
