ACTING FOR GUILDBURY

Auditions for Electric theatre shows and for Farnham Castle shows are open to everyone, not just existing members. Auditions for Festival productions are for members only. All auditions are held with the director and at least one other reader together with members of the production team, at a pre-arranged time. We look for people who share our values and we cast the person we consider best for the part; we actively seek new members & there is no casting preference given to existing members. All company members must join by paying a membership fee.

GUILDBURY PRODUCTION TEAM

We have an outstanding team which includes many high calibre ex-professionals. However, there are a wide range of opportunities for anyone wishing to gain experience or become involved. These include:

Stage Management
Lighting
Set Building and painting
Costumes
Props
Publicity
Front of House

As with our actors we aim for high standards but in some areas we are willing to recruit those with little or no experience but great enthusiasm who would like to be trained.

MANAGEMENT

Our plays are directed by one of two experienced directors and a cluster of associate directors.

SOCIAL PROGRAMME                                                                               

Guildbury has a team who co-ordinate activities, including social activities for the group. Our social programme is an important part of our activity and we hold monthly pub nights which are eagerly anticipated and enthusiastically attended.
